Hernando Cortes

Hernando Cortes was born in 1485, and died in 1547.

Cortes traveled for two years for Spain.

Cortes is from Medellin, Spain.

Cortes went on a expedition to find silver, gold, and other riches.

Cortes claimed all of Mexico in 1521 by killing the Aztec emperor, Montezuma.

Cortes was sent to law school by his parents when he was only 14 years old, but sadly he failed.

Cortes' parents were very, very poor.

After Cortes returned to Spain he died sadly. After that they buried him in Mexico.

After his expedition he brought back many goods from the Aztecs.
